Indie Cotton Route was not born in a boardroom or a business plan, it began in a garage, with one tailor, a sewing machine, and the unshakeable vision of Shalini Saluja.

A woman who never needed approval to do what she believed in, Shalini built ICR from scratch, fearless, bold, and full of heart. She didn’t follow trends or rules. She followed her instinct, her craft, and the joy of making women feel beautiful.
She would hop on her little Honda scooty, daughter riding pillion, to scout for the finest cottons and master embroiderers, carrying not just fabric, but a dream that would one day clothe thousands.

30 years of sweat, laughter, trial, and triumph later, what began as a one-woman army is now a full-fledged studio with her own flagship store, a skilled team of tailors, and a loyal customer base who see her work as more than fashion, they see it as love stitched into fabric.
